1. What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before?
Helped keep a company afloat in the wake of tragedy.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I did not make any resolutions, and don't usually tend to. This year however, my resolution is to lose all of the baby weight plus some and become a MILF :)

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
3 sisters, 2 sister-in-laws and some friends.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
My boss and friend James, and his son Andrew.

5. What countries did you visit?
I was meant to go on a cruise to Mexico and also a trip to Cancun but had to cancel both due to the unplanned but very welcome pregnancy.

6. What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008?
A healthy baby girl

7. What date from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
July 19 - The day James died.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Making Holland :)

9. What was your biggest failure?
Not starting a budget sooner...talking about it, but not getting it going.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Does morning sickness count?

11. What was the best thing you bought?
materials to start finishing the basement.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Darren's - he is just a great supportive husband.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
Debi - My boss's ex-girlfriend/ex-wife

14. Where did most of your money go?
Baby stuff in the second half of the year and paying off debts

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Getting pregnant

16. What song will always remind you of 2008?
None.

17. Compared to this time last year, you are:
i. happier or sadder? Happier
ii. thinner or fatter? Fatter, but that is all baby
iii. richer or poorer? richer - we have learned to budget, and we have a baby on the way so we are richer financially and emotionally speaking.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Taken vacations

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
working

20. How will you be spending New Years?
I have no plans yet, but something always seems to come up. Plus my friends are loving the fact that they still have a DD for the next 7 weeks.

21. What was the most embarrassing thing that happened to you in 2008?
Nothing...

22. Did you fall in love in 2008?
Yes with my baby girl.

23. How many one-night stands?
0

24. What was your favorite TV program?
I have several - The Bachelor, Grey's Anatomy, Prison Break and The Office make the top of the list.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No - about the same list as before :)

26. What was the best book you read?
I have read so many, but have forgotten the names....

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
None.

28. What did you want and get?
A baby...well she is still cooking, but on her way

29. What did you want and not get?
A nice vacation...planned but never taken.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
Wanted

31. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 28 and spent it at Disneyland with my sister and neice.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
A vacation...I am sensing a trend. I could use a real vacation.

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2008?
The same as always. I think I am fashionable and stay on top of current trends, at least those that appeal to me. I still don't understand the appeal of leggings.

Mark Wahlberg - yum

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
The election

37. Who did you miss?
I miss James - and I miss going to work and seeing everyone there.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
All my new neices and nephews.

Anything is possible with hard work and determination.
